Novus Construction was appointed to refurbish an apartment on Kings Road, Chelsea. The project involved upgrading the apartment from substrate stage through to finished interiors, with new underfloor heating, screed, bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, joinery and decoration.
The works included a wet underfloor heating system, self-levelling screed, Schlüter-KERDI waterproofing to wet areas, herringbone oak flooring, marble bathroom finishes, a shaker-style kitchen, internal glazing, wall panelling and bespoke fitted joinery.
The project required careful sequencing because the final finishes depended on the floor build-up, waterproofing and substrate preparation being completed correctly.
The floor build-up was a key part of the project. Underfloor heating was installed and covered with self-levelling screed before the final floor finishes were fitted. This stage had to be carefully sequenced to protect the heating system and provide a stable base for the finished flooring.
The bathrooms were stripped and rebuilt with new waterproofing, plumbing, tiling, sanitaryware and fixtures. Schlüter-KERDI waterproofing was installed to the wet areas before the marble finishes, shower screens, towel rails and final fittings were completed.
The finished apartment included a shaker-style kitchen, herringbone oak flooring, wall panelling, internal glazing, bespoke study shelving, bedroom joinery and fitted dressing areas. The work was coordinated so that each room followed the same finish level and handover standard.
The result was a refurbished Chelsea apartment with underfloor heating, completed floor finishes, new bathrooms, kitchen installation, fitted joinery, wall panelling and final decoration delivered through to handover.
